I have over 30 years experience in the bridge construction industry. As a Registered Professional Engineer in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee and California, I can apply my knowledge and wide-range of experience to create solutions for your specific project. Here are just a few examples of my ability to create solutions for your project. I can:

Devise a roller system to move 75,000 lb Type IV concrete girders laterally into position on US-52 over the Black River.
Enable the dismantling of a 90 year old truss bridge (3 spans - 80 feet each) and retain its structural integrity while transporting it to the North Carolina School of the Arts for reassembly.
Create a temporary support system for a 250 foot continuous structural steel span.
Design a temporary bridge to enable heavy, off-road haulers to cross a 48” high-pressure gasoline pipeline.

I have managed well over $100 million in bridge projects as a contractor. My first hand knowledge of OSHA fall protection and "competent person for excavations", PLUS, having come up with numerous engineering systems, translates into safe, cost-effective, efficient designs for you.

With the California Department of Transportation, I gained extensive experience working daily with contractors, performing design checks of intricate falsework and shoring, supervised teams of bridge inspectors and performed construction surveys. What that means to you is that I understand the bridge construction process and what it takes to keep your project on track. Plus, I'm well-aquatinted with DOT specifications and AASHTO requirements.
